Ashnin was an old female squirrel who lived on the same island as Urthwyte the Mighty and Loambudd. According to Loambudd, she was once a captive of the same foxes that chased Thrugg and Dumble on their quest to find the Flowers of Icetor. Ashnin was a very good archer and she travelled to Salamandastron with Mara, Pikkle and Guosssom to fight against Ferahgo the Assassin and his Corpsemakers.
