|Log-a-Log Big Club|
Log-a-Log Big Club was a fierce shrew warrior living alone on the banks of the Great South Stream with only the company of a small beetle known as Grubwhacker. He ran a ferry boat service to those wishing to cross the stream, and met Martin the Warrior, Gonff the Mousethief, and Young Dinny the mole as they crossed the river on their quest to find Boar the Fighter.
Big Club explained to the travelers how he once lived on the River Moss somewhere North of Salamandastron as leader of the Northwest Shrew Tribe until they were all taken captive by searats and made oarslaves aboard the Bloodwake by Ripfang. Big Club escaped from them and made his way to the Great South Stream, vowing revenge on the searats, and hoping to one day free his tribe.
He assisted Martin and his friends on their quest by taking them as far as Bat Mountpit on his ship the Waterwing. It was destroyed in a waterfall however, and the friends were forced to continue their journey on foot.
When they reached Salamandastron, Boar the Fighter forged Big Club a dagger, and helped the travelers capture the searat vessel Bloodwake by taking on its captain, Ripfang, and his crew single pawed. Big Club navigated the ship up the River Moss back towards Mossflower Woods, and freed his tribe from the oar decks inside of the ship. Dinny renamed the ship Wuddship. It was scuttled in the River Moss in order to flood Kotir and rid Mossflower Woods of Tsarmina Greeneyes. When the ship was refloated by Skipper's otter crew, it was given to Big Club and his tribe.
