The fat old dormouse Bobbo was an oarslave on one of Gabool the Wild's ships from a very young age. When his rowing partner, a vole, died, he was thrown overboard and landed near a cave along the northeast shore, where he lived with his newt friend, Firl. Bobbo could not remember his real name, nor did he have any memory of his parents. He wore a longcoat with seaweed around his middle for a belt. He hosted Mariel Gullwhacker, Dandin, Tarquin Longleap Woodsorrel, and Durry Quill on their quest to Terramort Isle, helping them in the process to capture the metal swallow at the bottom of a pool needed to direct the friends to the Isle.
