Bomba Shakal was an oafish servant of Al Misurata. He took Ben captive to work as a slave for Misurata, and possibly to be traded over to another slave driver.

Bomba was ruthless and cruel to slaves under his command. He blamed Ben for all of his troubles aboard the Sea Djinn. His neck was broken by Otto Kassel after he threatened Serafina.
