Borumm was a male weasel, formerly a Rapscour in the Rapscallion army of Damug Warfang. He and his companion, the fox Vendace, were sympathizers of Damug's brother and rival, Byral Fleetclaw. They and a stoat named Lugworm tried to assassinate Damug but were captured and sentenced to life forever in chains. They escaped, however, with about thirty scouts, and tried to flee the Rapscallions.

They were quickly recaptured by Rapmark Skaup, and sentenced to death by being slung into the river with stones tied to their necks.
