Burnet Mirdop was the son of Fescue and Mildwort Mirdop. He was the twin brother of Buttercup Mirdop. Burnet preferred scones to cucumber sandwiches for tea but was scolded by his mother when he attempted to get a scone before eating the sandwich. In the Mirdop household only one scone per creature was allowed. He also made the mistake of trying to repeat the words of his father but was scolded for interrupting. He had to bow when leaving the table. He and his sister were given candied acorns by Grumm who took pity on their lot.
