Buttercup Mirdop was the twin sister of Burnet Mirdop and daughter of Fescue and Mildwort Mirdop. Buttercup and her brother had to wash their paws properly before tea, and were only given wafer-thin cucumber sandwiches and one tiny scone each. She had to curtsy when leaving the table. She and her brother were given candied acorns by Grumm who took pity on their lot.
