Castle Floret was a large castle located in Southsward, situated on a tall hill and surrounded on three sides by a moat and then a steep cliffside. It is known to have a tall tower, a library, dining room and rooms where Truffen takes his nap and Muta is trapped (side hall).

Gael Squirrelking and his family lived there until the Urgan Nagru, his mate Silvamord, and their evil vermin horde tricked their way inside. The castle was saved with help from Finnbarr Galedeep, the Guosim, several tribes of moles, squirrels, and hedgehogs, Rab Streambattle, his mate Iris Streambattle, and their otter crew, Meldrum and his nephews, as well as Mariel Gullwhacker, Dandin, and the young hedgehog Bowly Pintips.

After the rescue, Joseph the Bellmaker decided to stay on at the castle to help with repairs and gained the title "Lord Warden of Castle Floret."
