Catseyes was the captain of the Seatalon. Catseyes was sent by Gabool the Wild to pursue Greypatch and the Darkqueen but was unsuccessful in finding it. On the way back to Terramort, the Seatalon crashed into the weakened remains of the Greenfang. Catseyes captured Dandin and Durry and took the Sword of Martin from Dandin.

Catseyes sent his first mate, Fishtail, and most of the Seatalon crew inside Terramort to sense the mood of the other captains and find out whether there was any talk of a rebellion against Gabool. However, he was slain by Joseph the Bellmaker before he received his reply.
