Chibb was a male robin who was employed as a spy by the Council of Resistance in Mossflower. He was exceptionally fond of candied chestnuts, and his soft spot was used by the Corim to recruit his services. Columbine was instrumental in overcoming Chibb's initial resistance to his employment, especially due to his fright of Argulor. In his case, Chibb's fears turned out to be unfounded. Chibb's assistance proved to be invaluable in the course of the struggle against Tsarmina Greeneyes and her army. Acting as the eyes and ears around Kotir and Mossflower Woods for the Corim, Chibb allowed many of Tsarmina's treacherous acts to be averted or counteracted.

A little bit of a curmudgeon, Chibb nonetheless had a good heart, continuing to aid the Corim long after he had amassed a "considerable store" of candied chestnuts. He was the first to warn the Corim that Ferdy and Coggs Stickle were captured in the Kotir dungeons. During their predicament, Chibb transported all the rations necessary for the survival and good health of the little hedgehogs and their protector, Gingivere Greeneyes. He also faithfully relayed the important communications between the Corim and the prisoners and helped coordinate their rescue. Chibb eventually acted as a critical lifeline during the perilous hours when Martin the Warrior was struggling between life and death and required the timely healing powers of Abbess Germaine.

  • Chibb doesn't appear or receive a mention in The Legend of Luke, unlike most of the characters of Mossflower.
