Crosstooth was an evil-looking fox in the crew of Captain Tramun Clogg. Described as a skilled and experienced fighter, he carried a long-bladed spear and a curved dagger he took after its former owner, Crableg, died.

After Clogg was captured, he was the first to defect to Badrang the Tyrant's side. Knowing Crosstooth's fairly large experience, Badrang gave him the rank of Captain. Crosstooth was given command of the north wall during the Battle of Marshank, though seeing the approaching defeat he tried to escape off the back (west) wall, there slaying several pygmy shrews and nearly killing Queen Amballa herself were it not for Martin the Warrior's timely intervention. Amballa killed Crosstooth soon after.
