Cynthia Bankvole was the daughter of Lettie Bankvole and older sister of Rollo.

When she was taken by Slagar the Cruel along with Mattimeo, Tess, Tim and Sam Squirrel, she often annoyed them (mainly Mattimeo) with her crying and whining. She was clearly younger than the other abductees, and therefore obviously traumatized by the kidnapping and her mother's death (the message being brought to her by Vitch, in a very sadistic manner). After she was rescued and returned to Redwall by Matthias, Basil Stag Hare, Jess Squirrel and their companions, Cynthia became a Bellringer with Rollo.
