Damper was a male weasel slaver in Slagar the Cruel's gang. He was first mentioned when the slaves were being marched across a bridge. When Slagar and Vitch were deserting the others, Vitch accidently trod on Damper's paw and caused him to wake up. He was instantly killed by a Blackrobe rat.

The next day, Drynose, a companion of Damper, found Damper's dead body and a mutiny broke out among the remaining slavers.
