Didjety Lighpaw was the wife of Yoofus Lightpaw, and fondly disapproved of his thieving ways (but was secretly proud of her husband's talents), saying that that he'd steal the stars if he could reach them. She and Yoofus lived in a cave near a small lake. Didjety cooked a delicious sausage, and was the owner of Rockbottom.

Didjety and Yoofus accompanied Wild Doogy Plumm to Redwall Abbey when the squirrel insisted on taking Rockbottom, who was actually the Walking Stone, to the Abbey. Doogy was captured by Gulo the Savage and his horde of a hundred white vermin, but Didjety and Yoofus managed to get to the Abbey safely. After Gulo was killed by Rakkety Tam MacBurl, Yoofus and Didjety went to their home again, taking Rockbottom along as a pet.
