Driftail was the leader of a small band of River Rats, and an old enemy of the Long Patrol hares during the rule of Lady Melesme. He spoke with a heavy accent. He and his gang came into the clutches of Gulo the Savage and his horde after capturing Captain Zerig. He was interrogated by Gulo and then eaten alive by the horde for not knowing where Askor or the Walking Stone were. Two of his gang's members were held as prisoners.
