Frutch was an old female otter, the mother of Brogalaw. She was known to start crying whenever she heard a sad tale, and did so when she heard the plight of the hare's who had escaped from Salamandastron after Stonepaw sacrificed himself. She entreated her son to rescue the remaining hares, and he did so. She found kindred souls in Woebee and Blench, two of the freed captives. She finally returned to her home on the Southern Coast with her son and his holt after the Blue Hordes had been defeated. She was stated to be a good cook.
