Rawback was a male stoat from the Juskarath clan who appeared to have a talent for cooking. He was in charge of the Juskarath while Sawney Rath and six others killed Rillflag and captured Deyna. Later, he accompanied Gruven Zann in the effort to hunt down the Taggerung.
Gruven tricked Rawback into falling in a swamp, but he survived by grabbing onto a tree branch and then eating bugs and frogs, causing him to become mentally unstable. The Juskabor found him during a search for Deyna's body. According to one of Gruven's guards, that meant they now had two crazy stoats. Rawback told them what he knew, and they let him join their tribe.
