Scragg was a male weasel resident of Mossflower Woods who was enlisted into the horde of Cluny the Scourge. Smarter than the average horde-beast, Cluny considered promoting him to the rank of captain. Upon becoming aware of Cluny's intentions, Cheesethief experienced jealousy and pushed Scragg out of the tall elm during the battle plan involving the use of plank to scale the walls of Redwall Abbey.
When that effort failed to kill him, however, Cheesethief returned to the site of the fall and murdered Scragg by choking him. Scragg was later mourned by Killconey, who noted to Cheesethief how odd it was that a simple fall killed such a great officer.
Nelvana Redwall TV Series[]
In the Nelvana Redwall TV Series, Scragg resembles a rat, but this may be a mistake as Cluny calls out "Scragg the weasel" when listing the dead.
