The Gonfelin Thieves were a tribe of mice living in Mossflower Woods who were descended from Gonff the Mousethief.

After their ancestors were kicked out of Redwall Abbey for theft, they moved into the surrounding forest.

The name of a member of the Gonfelin tribe always ends with the letter O, and they address other creatures as if their names end with O as well, for example, they call Abbot Glisam "Abbo".

Sandbags were the weapon of choice for the Gonfelins, as well as nooses for strangling.
