Groaby was a male mole who lived at Redwall Abbey. He was an expert digger. Foremole chose Groaby, Buxton and Dan'l to dig a tunnel and help save the oarslaves kept captive by the crew of the Darkqueen. Like all moles, he was extremely fond of raspberry cream pudding.
