Guffy was a male mole Dibbun from Redwall Abbey who was captured along with a squirrelbabe named Tassy by the Ravagers and taken to Althier. He helped to dig a tunnel out of their underground prison with Gurchen and Flib. The tunnel collapsed, but they were later rescued by Axtel Sturnclaw and taken to live with a kindly volewife named Mumzy. Guffy was then returned to the Abbey.
