Lardtail was a male rat in the horde of Swartt Sixclaw, who was the ally of Wildag, a disgruntled ferret captain. Upon learning of the pair's disloyalty, Swartt forced Lardtail to feed a whole crow (the mother of Krakulat) to Wildag, killing him. For "murdering" a captain, Swartt had his two assassins, Scarback and Marbul, slay Lardtail.
