Laird Mactalon was the ruler of a clan of falcons that were located in the Northern Mountains, or "the High Crags". He fathered Rocangus and later came to his son's rescue along with five other falcons by vanquishing an entire horde of crows. He also spoke to the Wild King MacPhearsome regarding the Flowers of Icetor prior to Thrugg and Dumble's arrival at the golden eagle's lair.
