Lugsnout was a big male ferret in the crew of Razzid Wearat, serving on board the Greenshroud.

As the Greenshroud was rolling across the flatlands to ram the main gates of Redwall Abbey, Razzid instructed Lugsnout and three other ferrets to keep an eye on Mowlag and Jiboree, whose job it was to bridge the ditch in front of the Abbey. If the pair failed, Lugsnout and his cronies were to slay them, and take their place.

Lugsnout was a very minor character; nothing else is known.
