The tribe of Luke the Warrior was a group of mice who originally resided at Saint Ninian's Church in Mossflower Woods until Verdauga Greeneyes drove them out sometime during the early stages of his rule. Luke the Warrior himself was born at Saint Ninian's.

Leadership of the tribe seemed to be descendant from the family of Luke the Warrior, or someone who a member of that family appointed.

The tribe relocated to the North Shores, believing no enemy would be so far north. Most of the male members of the tribe set off to pursue the pirates, led by Luke.
