Lupin was the wife of Buffheart and the mother of Starbuck and Breeze. She was the hare under Boar the Fighter's command that found the unbreakable metal out of which The Sword of Martin was forged. Lupin assisted Boar with the training of Martin the Warrior in advanced fighting skills, although she was easily overcome by Martin. During the battle against Ripfang, she was ordered by Boar to stay inside Salamandastron with her husband to attend to the younger hares.
