The Northwest Shrew Tribe was a group of shrews who lived on the north banks of the River Moss until Ripfang and his crew appeared and captured all of them, using them as oarslaves.

The leader, Log-a-Log Big Club managed to escape south of Salamandastron, and relocated to the Great South Stream. Later, along with help from Martin the Warrior, Gonff, and Young Dinny, he took the Ripfang's ship, the Bloodwake, and freed his tribe.
