Orocca was a female owl of Mossflower Woods who happened to be living in a tree that fell down during a storm onto the south wall of Redwall Abbey. Abbess Tansy showed compassion for the bird, allowing her to re-locate her nest to the kitchens. She was the wife of Taunoc, and the mother of Nutwing, Nutbeak, and Nutclaw. Though a bit short with most otherbeasts, she enjoyed the company of moles, thinking of them as very sensible creatures.
