Padre Marlanese, also known as the False Priest, was the cousin of Ghigno the Corsair, and he lived on a skiff. Marlanese commanded a fleet of 6 such skiffs, and they pirated vessels in Italian waters. His second in command was Bulgaro.

With his ships, Marlanese led an attack on the White Ram in order to capture Ben, however Eli Bar Shimon swiftly ended the formation by shooting Marlanese in the throat with a fire arrow, killing him.
