Rimrose Swifteye was the wife of Janglur, a daughter-in-law of Ellayo. and the mother of Songbreeze. When the Marlfoxes were laying siege to Redwall Abbey, she helped Sister Sloey heal the wounded.

She also helped to prepare Redwall Midsummer Feast with Ellayo. Together with her mother-in-law, she helped Cregga Badgermum fire an arrow over a huge distance and kill Ascrod, one of the Marlfoxes.

After the Marlfoxes were defeated and everything returned to normal, she became the apprentice recorder to Friar Butty, and said in a postscript: "...never too old to learn."
