Saltear was a fat, slovenly, bad tempered stoat in the crew of Vizka Longtooth. Along with Ruglat and Undril, he guarded Maudie, Rangval the Rogue, and Orkwil Prink.

After they freed themselves, Saltear charged Rangval, however Rangval kicked him hard in the neck, killing him instantly.
