Sister Rosabel was the daughter of Friar Broggle and Fwirl.

She was Assistant Recorder to Brother Hoben. After she wrote the story of the Taggerung, Abbess Mhera made her the official Recorder of Redwall.

Rosabel did not use The Gatehouse as her office. Instead, she used Cregga Badgermum's former bedroom. Foremole Gundil and his crew made her a desk and cupboards for all of her writings.

After writing the chronicle of the Taggerung, Rosabel spent four evenings reading it to a huge audience in the Cavern Hole.
