The Southern Coast is the southern section of the Western Coast. The coast is located to the south of Redwall Abbey and includes the mountain of Salamandastron and the hidden otter holt of Brogalaw.

The Southern Coast and its surrounding regions are commonly patrolled by the Long Patrol under the command of a Badger Lord.

During the time of Russano the Wise, Ruggan Bor was known as the "Lord of the Southern Coast".
