Surnames differ[]
Ok, this is plain freaky. Damug's surname is Warfang, but his father's is tunn and his brother's Fleetclaw! this must mean that not only is damug and byral's father not their birth father, but they aren't brothers! what do you think of that? —This unsigned comment was added by 66.53.209.51 (talk • contribs) 17:26, 23 February 2008. - This is a perfect example of why you should not be assuming characters' surnames. Just because characters (or people for that matter) have different surnames, does not mean they are not biologically related. -- LordTBT

let me point out that rats don't have Fangs,they have incisors, so if Damug started showing signs of useing fangs, than he is probably a very abnormal rat... just wanted to say.--Ferretmaiden

I just changed it because it says he was presumably(word shouldn't be used most of the time when stating a fact) from the eastern coast, it seems unlikely to me because he was on the western coast most of the story and if they were pirates it seems unlikely that they would have sailed that far.( if you can find a mention please give the page so i can see for myself) Lordsunflash
