Mariel must have married Dandin, because Dandin had descendants such as Bisky, Samolus Fixa, and the Gonfelin. Besides, Mariel was the only young female mouse Dandin was close to. I also have the feeling that Joseph would have liked to have Dandin as a son-in-law. --User:Mutesa1

I don't think Brisky, Samolus, etc. were ever specified to be the descendants of Dandin. They were the descendants of Gonff, but he (or one of his descendants) may have had multiple children, so Brisky, etc. may not have been from Dandin's part of the family.
