Does anyone know the origin of Sela's name or why Brian Jacques named this fox "Sela"? Digital Ronin 03:00, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
No, but "Sela" was the capital of some ancient town. Hollyfire the Warrior

Could Sela be possibly related to Fortunata? {{SUBST:User:Bluestar1776/Sig}} 19:28, April 14, 2010 (UTC)!
I like your thinking Bluestar, but it's actually more likely that Sela came from Bane's band of mercenaries because it said she too originated from a band of roving foxes. I'm not saying anything definite and I'm not saying my opinion is any better then yours, I just think it's a good possibility, I also think it would be fun to imagine --Chugger the Rogue 01:17, September 9, 2010 (UTC)Chugger the Rogue
do you realize the distant time between bane and Sela, also consider that fortunata was killed, and i doubt she had any children Lordsunflash May The Wind Be at Your Back, Matey
It is odd that B.J. should name a fox "Sela" when that word, usually spelled with an H at the end, means "peace" or "silence".
