Is the number 18 explicitly stated in the book, or is it just the number of known members that we have? --LordTBT Tbtico Talk! 02:23, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

It is not explicitly stated, but we can infer that because the book documents the death of each of the gang. It does not mention the death of any other creatures. Also, during the final conflict between the gang after Slagar's death, it specifically mentions every event, and the final number surviving. I figured that it was reasonable to infer that every vermin in the band was mentioned/has a name, and thus it is eighteen. Signed, --Lord Mactalon 02:33, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Isnt it 19?[]

I think Slagar's gang may have 19 members, as its unconfirmed. Remember when slagar was telling Wedgeback to come forward on the cliffs? It went like this.

"Wedgeback! Come here" "Who me?" "Who do you think, addlebrain? The weasel behind you?" Then wedgeback came. this weasel might have been one of the known ones like threeclaws. But also maybe he wasn't and we arent supposed to assume things. Just wanted to say. --Ferrets and vermin are two different things! (talk) 02:58, November 4, 2013 (UTC)Burglebuber
