I think a special mention should be made of the fact that dangling participles make an article sound very silly, and also make the article very hard to read. Two of the sentences in this particular article, before I corrected them, read as follows -

"It was Stringle who was responsible for Log-a-log Luglug's death while trying to rescue the shrewbabe Yik."

- and -

"Pacing about the foot of the plateu, Osbil saw his chance to fulfil his revenge and slew him with a single arrow shot between the eyes."

In the first sentence, it sounds as if Stringle is trying to rescue Yik; and in the second, it sounds as if Osbil is pacing about the foot of the plateau - both incorrect information. This is not the first article by any means that I have found with these problems. Is there any way a general notice could be put out to let people know not to write dangling participles in articles?
