The Bell Tower is where the Joseph Bell was hung, and where the Matthias and Methuselah bells were later hung. Usually a young creature is given the title of Bellringer: Tim and Tess Churchmouse were the first to receive this title in regards to the twin bells. Before the Joseph Bell was brought to Redwall, Dandin beat a hollow beech log to announce meals or danger.

The roof and woodwork of the tower were constructed from the dismantled ships Waveblade, Blacksail, Nightwake, and Crabclaw.
