The Traveling Thistledown Troupe was a group of traveling performers who entertained the residents of Redwall Abbey during the feast which marked Autumn's final day.
The troupe was led by Hypericum Hadduck Hare, a fun and colorfully dressed hare, who used a big seashell to announce each of the performers or groups of performers.
The troupe was composed of many creatures of different species, including mice, moles, otters, hedgehogs, squirrels, voles, dormice and one large and immensely strong badger.
The troupe was invited to participate in the feast at Redwall after their performance which was a great success. Later, they joined in the snow games with the other Abbey residents. Bungo and Tubspike had been sent by the Father Abbot to greet the entertainers, who announced themselves from a distance with drums, flutes and singing.
Known Troupe Members
The Melodious Mice was a trio of mousemaid members of the Traveling Thistledown Troupe under the leadership of Hypericum Hadduck Hare.
The Melodious Mice opened the performance of the troupe during the Redwall Abbey feast which celebrated the last day of Autumn. The mice were great singers and had performed at many harvest fairs and twice at banquets. The Melodious Mice were interrupted by a fat mole who seemed to drench them with a pail of water. Instead the bucket was filled with flower petals. The mole was actually a clown and was also a member of the Troupe.

Droll Dumplin's an' Cavortin' Clowns
The Droll Dumplin's an' Cavortin' Clowns was a group of clowns, who were members of the Traveling Thistledown Troupe under the leadership of Hypericum Hadduck Hare.
The Clowns were composed of moles, voles and dormice and entertained the Redwall Abbey residents during the feast celebrating Autumn's final day. They made their dramatic entrance on the stage through a fat mole dressed as a jester. The mole appeared to ruin the performance of the Melodious Mice by launching a pail of water, which turned out to contain only flower petals. The Clowns were very appreciated by the Dibbuns, especially Bungo and Tubspike. Matthias and Skipper also laughed hard at their antics.
The Juggling Otters performed feats of acrobacy and juggling to entertain the Redwall Abbey residents during the feast celebrating Autumn's final day. Oswald and Oriole could juggle almost anything including apples, sugarplums, and pears while balancing on rounded logs. They pleased especially the Dibbuns when they distributed candied chestnuts they were juggling into the paws of Bungo and Tubspike.
