Truffen was the son of Gael Squirrelking and Serena at Castle Floret, in Southsward. He was held captive by the Urgan Nagru and Silvamord. Muta was his nursemaid. Truffen was protected by Muta during the escape from Floret. He dreamt of Mariel of Redwall and of the Joseph Bell, but he was too young to communicate his dreams to anyone.
