How I Came to Read Redwall Edit

This a funny story, actually. You see, I have these AWESOME neighbors who, last year in 2008, gave me lots of old books. Among these books was "Redwall." Intrigued by the interesting cover, I began to read. Suddenly I remembered something--I had read this before! It just so happens that in the fourth-fifth grade, I picked it up and began to read it! The thing is, I only flipped through it, and, upon reading the tricky mole-speech, I gave up! I also read the part about Sela doing her "magic," and I think it kind of creeped me out (hey, I was little!). Then I remembered the Redwall TV Series. I must have watched an episode when I was little, and I recalled it when reading Redwall. I have a really good memory, and I recalled Matthias and a girl-mouse (I assumed Cornflower) were on the walltops, talking, and Matthias was questioning his warrior-hood. The episode was "Cluny's Clowns," and the "girl-mouse" was Wild Ivy, but I would not know that until later. And so here I am! And I am that is happily a Redwall fan!!!!

• Thanks to Zoso159, I remembered that a kid on my bus told me of Redwall and Watership Down (which is why I read it in the first place!). I thought of him when I picked up the two books. Thanks, Zoso, for the memories!

Redwall Ancedotes Edit

• February 23, 2010: I got my Sable Quean! The last one in the book store! As I was leaving with my precious, I heard I kid yell "No! There's none left! Call management, I need my Redwall." Hehehehehe......... >:)
• January 25, 2010: Recieved my Redwall 1996 Diary in the mail! It is so cool! It's also much smaller than I expected it to be... oh well!
• January 24, 2010: Won first place at a chess tournament while wearing my Redwall T-Shirt! The spirit of Martin the Warrior was guiding my fingertips... ;)
• January 7, 2010: Bought Rakkety Tam at Borders. Also got a glimpse of those new-fangled covers!
• December 25, 2009: I got the Redwall Cookbook for Christmas!!! It's AWESOME!
• December 22, 2009: I spilled cheese on my Redwall T-Shirt. :{
• December 15, 2009: I have been reading Redwall to my five-year-old brother, as well as letting him watch the TV series (what can I say, he's FIVE. They toned down the violence, so it's OK for him, and he likes how the characters are drawn out for him to see!) ANYWAY as I was working on an essay, he came into the den with his arms folded in the sleeves of his green robe. He says "I'm Matthias!" How cute! He then played "Redwall" with me, he being Matthias, and I, of course, "Clooney." Martin's sword was a clothes hanger. HA! I just thought it would be fun to share this with you. But I still finished it before anyone else I know. LOL, I don't know anyone else who reads Redwall! That's why I'm here! Anyway, watch it. Artwork Edit

My Art Edit

I have two styles of art (see below). PLEASE SPECIFY YOUR STYLE! Take note that I can draw your character in any pose, in any angle EXCEPT for looking sraight at you. This is very hard for me, but I'm getting better at it.

1. This style can only be described as "quaint." I do it as realistically as possible, and it has a certain old Victorian flair to it. I picture all of the characters in 1700's style dress, and you will see that in my art. I usually only draw that style, but I can always make exceptions. I can also draw hares in Civil-War style uniform, and aso Dibbuns in cutesty-frocks.
2. I call this style "Collage." It features a giant image of the character's face, and that image is surrounded by different items. The items can include weapons, pawprints, or colors. Examples of this style of art can be seen below.

Commissions Edit

If you would like me to draw a picture for you (an example of my work at right...didn't come out so well), send me a message with the description of the character (color, clothes, stance, ect). I DO NOT DRAW SKIMPY OUTFITS!!! This means no skirts above the knees, with the exception of it being torn due to the fact that in your fan-fiction the dress is torn. If you do not care what you want it to look like, then say you don't. I'll just make something up! I'll do my best to please you, and if for any reason you are not happy, I'll draw you a new picture. :) I will get the picture to you in a week or so, as it doesn't take me that long to draw a picture, but... I have a busy life, and homework comes first, but I will get it done ASAP! I'll put your name on the list if you ask for a picture. Only three at a time! First come, first serve!

My favourite movie is Watership Down. Hyzenthlay is my favourite character and my user-namesake.

I like to sharp-shoot (only cans and non-living things, mind you!!), bow and arrow or pump rifle (I once shot a pencil out of a tree from 30 feet away--I was pretending I was Grath :D)

I like otters (thanks to Deyna) and I am a member of the IOSF, or International Otter Survival Fund (I adopted Dara!)

My Favourite Redwall Stuff: Edit

• The Redwall TV series is my favorite of all time! (Ignoring the TONS of artisic mistakes and plot errors)I like to make fun of the TV series though, but if you make fun of the books YOU DIE!

• Books: Rakkety Tam, Marlfox, The Pearls of Lutra, Taggerung, and Triss (Although I like them all!!!)

• I prefer paperback copies to hardcover copies, and I prefer Ace publications over Philomel and Firebird. (I have no idea why... I just do.)

In Loving Memory... Edit

This section of my homepage is dedicated to a friend of mine who died of Burkitts Lymphona in September. He was strong, sporty, and smart. I can relate him to Martin the Warrior, fighting cancer until the end. He is now in the valley of the silent hills and quiet streams, playing a never-ending game of basketball. We miss you Matt!
