I am a Roman Catholic home-schooler living in MI, U.S.A.

My first Redwall book was Lord Brocktree. I decided to read it after a friend told me about the series and I was sick with nothing else to read at the time. I liked it alot more than I initially thought I would and have been reading them for... A few years now. I still haven't read Eulalia! or Bellmaker yet.

I can now say with certainty my days of Obsessive Redwall Syndrome are over. I haven't picked up a Redwall book in quite some time. However I remain a fan of Brian Jacques as, although I don't really read the books anymore, he has inspired me to go onto greater things.

Side project Edit

Nothing I'm obligating myself to - but something I thought would be kind of nice and interesting. I'm hoping to collect a bunch of fan-based pictures of different characters in the series for the purpose of compiling them in one blog for the entire community to see. I'm starting with pictures of Martin the Warrior. If a veteran member [someone who's been a member here for at least a year] is willing to help with and discuss it there may be some other interesting tidbits added to the blog. If anyone is interested leave a message!

Have an Art Request?Edit

Send me a description of a character you'd like drawn and I'll draw it, free of charge. Please read the terms below first though.

1 - All images are strictly bordering PG-13 or below. No blatant ultra-violence [sorry], no profanity, and no sexual themes. [Animals without clothes are acceptable - there will be nothing worse than the book illustrations, nothing... "showing" - but there will be no scanty clothing if the character does wear clothes].

2 - Nothing too cute please. I don't know if I could draw a fuzzy-looking creature skipping in a field of daisies. My friends and relatives just might question my sanity if I did so. Also, no hair and no human-animal hybrids. maybe an animal hybrid if it sounds cool.

3 - Images will only be produced at my own pace. Please be patient if it takes awhile [awhile being 1 week to a month or 2] - you can't rush art!

4 - Post requests on my Message Wall, please.

5 - Post your request in the same manner as the highlighted example below. [Note: You don't have to make it the same color.]

Style: I try to go for a realistic approach but there is always an element of cartoonishness to my drawings. So, most of my work consists of semi-realistic-looking characters done in freehand. All of it is done with mechanical pencil, and if you want color I have pastels & colored pencils.
