Redwall Wiki Turns FourEdit

Site launches official art contest.

October 10th, 2009 - THE Redwall Wiki (www.redwallwiki.com) today celebrates its fourth anniversary online; it actually seems like yesterday that the website just started. With every year we continue to grow, and continue to take new steps in sharing Redwall.

In our annual release last year, we mentioned our expanding fan fiction and fan art hubs. Currently, there are over 700 fan art contributions, and approximately 250 works of fan fiction.

At the beginning of the year, the Redwall Wiki was one of Wikia's first to receive blog functionality; it has never been easier to write, update, and monitor feedback for Redwall fan fiction and essays.

Over the course of 2009 year, we revealed several exclusive features, including artwork and interviews from illustrators Johann Wessels and Thomas Canty.

The Redwall Wiki was also pleased to join social networks Facebook and Twitter to allow in the easier and quicker delivery of news updates.

The big announcement today, however, is our first official art contest in celebration of the upcoming Brian Jacques Redwall release The Sable Quean, and our fourth birthday.
