Has anyone noticed the similarities between the endings of Martin the Warrior (book) and The Legend of Luke? Here are a few that I've seen.

  • Both Martin and Luke's arch enemies were stoats.
  • Both Fort Marshank and The Goreleech were destroyed.
  • Both of the stoats pleaded for their lives and offered their fortresses and the freedom of the slaves when they were at the end.
  • Both Martin and Luke had a vengeful squirrel ally that died fighting. (Felldoh and Ranguvar Foeseeker)
  • Both Martin and Luke's true loves were killed by their arch enemies.
  • Both of the stoats had weasel slavemasters. (Hisk and Bullflay)
  • Both Badrang and Vilu were or had been corsairs.
